CallRules evaluates calls with private rules you choose. Call evaluation and saved call data stay on your Android device.
Set CallRules as Android's Caller ID & spam app and confirm the Dashboard says protection is active. First-run setup focuses on incoming screening. Phone, call-redirection, and location access are requested only if you later enable those optional features.
Choose Incoming, Outgoing, or Both. Incoming rules can Block, Allow, or Silence. Outgoing rules can block a call or allow it with optional PIN confirmation. Allow rules take priority over block rules.
Country calling-code and state/area-code rules match telephone-number prefixes. They do not determine a caller's physical location.
A voice command such as “block incoming calls from country code 44” is shown for confirmation before saving. Manual entry remains available. Rules may have schedules. Incoming rules may also be constrained to a saved place; background location is needed only when such a rule must run while the app is closed or the phone is locked.
Lifetime Pro outgoing protection uses Android's Call Redirection role and your normal Phone app. Enable it in Settings and allow Phone permission for confirmed redial. A blocked call is cancelled. If approval is required, CallRules cancels the original attempt and places one replacement call only after the correct PIN or a deliberate 1.5-second hold. A global PIN takes precedence over per-rule PIN and long press. Cancelling or allowing the request to time out places no call. Android excludes emergency and some gateway calls from redirection.
Free includes incoming screening, blocked numbers, and limited Call Rules. The one-time Lifetime Pro purchase unlocks unlimited rules, outgoing safeguards, schedules, location constraints, voice rules, and import/export. Google Play displays the localized price. Use Restore purchase on the Upgrade screen with the purchasing Play account.
Settings can export Rules CSV, blocked-number CSV, or a versioned configuration backup. Imports are previewed before applying. Protect exported files because they may contain phone-number rules and saved places. PIN data, purchases, permissions, call history, and diagnostics are excluded from configuration backups.
