File Zone Privacy Policy

The short version. File Zone does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or include analytics or tracking SDKs. Most processing happens on your device. Information leaves the device only when needed for a service you request or when you choose to export, share, or send it, as described below.

1. Who we are

File Zone ("File Zone") is published through Google Play by MJRed Dev LLC, trading as Plainform ("we", "us"). This policy applies to File Zone. You can reach us at mjred.dev@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

File Zone has no user accounts or login and does not automatically upload app content or diagnostics to us. We cannot see information processed only on your device. We receive information only if you deliberately send it to us, such as by emailing feedback or a problem report.

We do not include advertising networks, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, or any other third-party tracking libraries in File Zone.

3. Data File Zone processes on your device

File Zone needs access to certain information in order to function. That information is primarily processed locally. Any user-requested transfer to another service or app is described in section 5.

Storage access — to browse, search, and manage your files, which is the app's function.
Network credentials — if you connect to your own network shares (SMB, FTP, SFTP, WebDAV), credentials are stored encrypted on the device using the Android Keystore, and are sent only to the server you configured.
File contents are never transmitted to us.

4. Purchases

If File Zone offers paid features, they are sold as one-time in-app purchases through Google Play Billing. Payments are processed by Google; we never see or store your payment details.

5. Third-party services

We do not embed third-party trackers. File Zone uses or hands information to platform and third-party services only to complete actions you request:

Google Play Billing (if File Zone offers paid features) — to process in-app purchases and verify entitlements.
Network shares you configure — your credentials are sent only to the SMB, FTP, SFTP, or WebDAV server you configured.

6. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is disclosed to a platform service or destination app only when needed for an action you request, as described in section 5.

7. Data retention and deletion

App-private data remains on your device and is removed when you uninstall File Zone according to Android behavior. Where File Zone offers an export or backup feature, copies you create are under your control and must be deleted through the app or location where you saved them.

We do not maintain an account or app-content database about you. If you send us an email, you may contact us to request deletion of that correspondence.

8. Children

File Zone is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Security

App data is stored in private application storage protected by Android's sandbox. Network credentials are encrypted using the Android Keystore. Network connections File Zone makes on your behalf use encrypted protocols where the destination server supports them.

10. Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Most information described here remains under your control on your own device. For information you deliberately send us, contact us using the address below to exercise any applicable rights.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting how File Zone handles data will also be noted in File Zone's release notes.
